A Tribute To The Navajo Way of Life

Traditional songs were and still are an important part of Navajo Way of Life. The performance of the songs on this album are primarily to reintroduce, especially to the young, our people's traditional and cultural teachings.

The songs being lessons within themselves, touch upon the essence of every day life of the Dine, beginning with early dawn, from inside the hooghan to family, grandparents, livestock, and protection. It is hoped that these songs will enlighten us to appreciate our rich culture, to take the initiative to learn more, and that we may seek to retain that knowledge and pass it on to generation to come.
